No surprise here.

A Detroit News-WDIV-TV poll of 600 likely voters conducted this week shows former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris locked in a dead heat, with Harris a third of a percentage point ahead -- 41.6 percent to 41.3 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.

The poll, conducted by Glengariff Group,  also showed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with support of 9.7 percent of the voters. Another 6 percent were undecided.

"This is as close as close can be,"  Glengariff founder Richard Czuba tells the Detroit News.

"The reality is nobody should issue a poll in Michigan that does not include Kennedy because he is a major factor here," Czuba said. "He’s leading among independents, and in Michigan, we all know that’s who decides the election. And they're being divided, not by two, but by three now, so that really scrambles the equation.”

Among independent voters, the poll shows Kennedy with about 27% support, Harris 26% and Trump 25%. Nearly 18% of independent voters remain undecided, the News reports.
