Slain Detroit synagogue President Sam Woll's neighbor Kevin Mull tesitified Tuesay about discovering her body on Saturday morning, Oct. 21.
Mull, who was walking a friend’s dog at about 6:30 a.m., testified in Detroit 36th Distict Court, according to the Detroit News, that he found her on the ground n the Lafayette Park neighborhood barefoot and in a fetal position. Her skin was bluish.
"I wasn’t even sure it was a body at first," he said. "As I approached to see if that person was in need of assistance, then I realized that the person was in a very bad situation and decided I needed to go for help."
Michael Jackson-Bolanos, 28, is charged with fatally stabbing Woll, 40.
Police testified that Woll last sent a text at 1:02 a.m., on Saturday, about a half hour after ADT Security sensors showed she had returned home from a Friday night wedding. They said the front door was left open at 1 a.m.
Authorities have said they have a North Face jacket with Woll's blood they believe belongs to him.
Michigan State Trooper Elizabeth Stockmire testified, according to WXYZ, that security video showed that the suspect was wearing a North Face jacket the night of the crime.
An FBI agent testified that cellphone data showed that Jackson-Bolanos was in the area of Woll's home from 3:50 a.m. to 4:20 a.m. Oct. 21, the News reports.
Defense attorney Brian Brown pointed out that there was no DNA or fingerprints in Woll's apartment linking his client to the crime scene.
