Detroit's Pie Sci Pizza in Woodbridge to Open Oak Park Shop

Pie Sci pizza on Trumbull in Detroit's Woodbridge neighborhood is expanding its footprint. 

The pizza joint, which makes a pretty legit pie, plans to open a second location at 8140 W. 9 Mile Rd. in Oak Park later this year.

The company made the announcement on Facebook on Wednesday and posted a partial blue print of the store's layout. 

The shop is known for its inventive square and round pizzas. It also features vegetarian, dairy-free, vegan and gluten-free pizzas on a rotating, seasonal menu, according to the website.

Some of the pizzas include: 1) The BLT:  Garlic oil, mozzarella, bacon, spring mix, cherry tomatoes, and herb mayo drizzle. 2) Lil' Kimchi: Coconut peanut sauce, mozzarella, sesame chicken, broccoli, crushed peanuts, kimchi, green onion, sesame-chili oil drizzle. 3) Detroit Brussels Harder: Garlic oil, mozzarella, roasted Brussels sprouts, bacon, feta, balsamic drizzle. 4) Baby Got Barbecue: Garlic oil, mozzarella, chicken, bacon, red onion, barbecue drizzle, Cajun crust. 5) Margherita: Garlic oil, mozzarella, fresh basil, cherry tomato, fresh mozzarella.
