The Cass Cafe in Midtown Detroit, which closed in July after about 29 years, will reopen just for the weekend of the 45th Annual Dally in the Alley next month.
Dally in the Alley is actually just on Saturday, Sept. 10. The restaurant will be open on both Saturday and Sunday.
"Both days will start off where we left off with the weekend brunch menu beginning at 10 a.m.," the restaurant said in a press release.
There will be entertainment.
On Saturday, the Donald Baker Band will play, and singer/songwriter Audra Kubat will perform. Sunday’s brunch will feature Ralph Koziarski and his multi-horned solo presentations.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Auntie Na’s Village, an organization that helps people in need with food, shelter and medicine.
"So if you missed our closing week festivities you have one last chance to say goodbye and soak it in," the press release says.
